The Time Warp is a song from the 1973 musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It was written by Richard O’Brien and Richard Hartley and is a parody of the dance song genre, in which instructions to execute the dance take over much of the lyrics. The Time Warp is among the most well-known audience participation dances, and the song is often danced to in celebrations and weddings, among other occasions.
