Take On Me is the 1985 hit by Norwegian A-ha, famous for its unforgettable music video featuring rotoscoped comic-style black and white animation. Having sold over 7 millions copies worldwide, Take On Me is one of best-selling singles of all time.

Fun Fact! Take On Me was recorded in 1984 for the album Hunting High and Low and multiple versions of the song were recorded. Take On Me was only successful in its second recording and the music video is extremely iconic, featuring hand-drawn rotoscoped comic-style animation. The video was played extensively on MTV. Take On Me is the only song by A-Ha to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. A-Ha continues to record and perform together in 2017.

Life on Mars?, also called (Is There) Life on Mars? is a song by David Bowie, released in 1971 for the album Hunky Dory. The piano in the song was written by Rick Wakeman. When it was released as a single in 1973, it reached number three in the UK Singles Chart and stayed on the chart for thirteen weeks. The harmony and mood throughout Life on Mars? is very rich and inventive. This piano version can help all pianists to work their way around the song: it will certainly be impressive to learn!

Swish Swish is a song by Katy Perry, featuring Nicki Minaj. It is the third single from Perry’s fifth album, Witness (2018). It features house-style EDM and hip-hop sampling throughout, notably Star 69 by Fatboy Slim (which itself samples other songs). Katy Perry says she wrote the song as an anti-bullying anthem, but some have pointed out it is ironically a bullying track itself, seemingly aimed toward Taylor Swift’s 2014 song Bad Blood.

Swish Swish was a YouTube trending success upon its release and it has claimed the number one position on the Digital download charts as of the first week of its release. Since its release, Swish Swish has earned Katy Perry a number one spot on the US Dance Club Songs chart (Billboard). This piano arrangement will be a joy to play for all Katy Perry fans, so start practicing!

One Punch Man originated as a parody webcomic by “One.” It tells the story of Saitama, an overpowered superhero who is seeking a worthy opponent to challenge his ridiculous power. The anime version by Madhouse aired in Japan in late 2015, dubbed in English during 2016. A second season was announced in the same year. The opening song to One Punch Man is very exciting, changing keys and using soaring melodies to create a fun track. This piano arrangement and tutorial captures the fun of the show, and is quite manageable for advanced pianists.

Dragon Boy is the name of the music in Spirited Away where Chihiro first encounters the dragon, Haku. Although Haku initially appears as a boy around the same age as Chihiro, it is revealed later in the movie that he is, in fact, a dragon! The music has a mystical, oriental quality that personifies Haku’s character. Andrew arranged this one as it’s one of his very favourite tracks from the Spirited Away soundtrack! Dragon Boy is a track from the hit Studio Ghibli film Spirited Away. Joe Hisaishi composed the acclaimed score, which won awards for Best Music in the 56th Mainichi Film Competition and Tokyo International Anime Fair 2001. The soundtrack also won the 17th Japan Gold Disk Award for Animation Album of the Year. Joe Hisaishi conducted the full score to Spirited Away, including Dragon Boy. This piano arrangement is a great representation of the track and is very fun to play.

Light of the Seven is a track from the HBO series Game of Thrones, based on the television adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. It was played on the season six finale of the show. Light of the Seven was composed by Ramin Djawandi in 2016. Djawadi earned a nomination for International Film Music Critics Association Film Music Composition Of The Year. This piano arrangement captures the pensive piano lines in full, bringing Djawadi’s original vision to the fingers of any learning pianist. It is a joy to learn from this arrangement and tutorial!

Comfortably Numb (working title “The Doctor”) is a song by Pink Floyd. It appeared first on the 1979 double album The Wall. The song displays Pink Floyd’s progressive rock style, especially in the midst of the overall narrative in The Wall. In many ways the track is easy listening couple with killer guitar solos and interesting harmony. Since its release, Comfortably Numb has often been listed as Pink Floyd’s best released track.

Hopes and Dreams is the 87th track in the Undertale Soundtrack. It is heard during the first phase of the fight with Asriel Dreemurr. It is a fast paced battle track that recalls many leitmotifs from various tracks in the game, such as Once Upon a Time, Your Best Friend and Snowdin Town. This arrangement for piano keeps the power of the original and is a joy to play!
