Zombie is a hit song by the internationally recognised band The Cranberries. It is a protest song about the IRA bombing in Warrington, which claimed the lives of two young men. Zombie was a number 1 hit in several countries, including Australia, Belgium, France, Denmark and Germany.
On 15th January 2018 we learned of lead singer Dolores O’Riordan’s death, and were asked to make a tribute piano arrangement and tutorial. We hope that you enjoy learning this great track: it’s been one of my favourites since I first heard it in the 90s. -Samuel
Lyrics:
Another head hangs lowly
Child is slowly taken
And the violence caused such silence
Who are we mistaken
But you see it’s not me
It’s not my family
In your head, in your
Head they are fighting
With their tanks and their bombs
And their bombs and their guns
In your head,
In your head they are cryin’
In your head, in your head
Zombie, zombie, zombie
Hey, hey
What’s in your head, in your head
Zombie, zombie, zombie
Hey, hey, hey, oh
Dou, dou, dou, dou
Dou, dou, dou, dou
Dou, dou, dou, dou
Dou, dou, dou, dou
Another mother’s breakin’
Heart is taking over
When the violence causes silence
We must be mistaken
It’s the same old theme since nineteen-sixteen
In your head,
In your head they’re still fightin’
With their tanks and their bombs
And their bombs and their guns
In your head, in your head they are dyin’
In your head, in your head
Zombie, zombie, zombie
Hey, hey
What’s in your head, in your head
Zombie, zombie, zombie
Hey, hey, hey
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Hey, oh, ya, ya-a
