Shadilay was written in 1986 by Italian band P.E.P.E. It is an Italian disco track, featuring syncopated rhythms and simplistic harmony. In 2016 a very unlikely coincidence between the appearance of the frog on the cover of the album, the name of the band and the name of the meme “Pepe the frog” caused Shadilay to resurface in popularity.
