Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock opera with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. It began its life as a concept album and later turned into a successful Broadway show. The song “Superstar” comes from the later parts of Act Two, and is sung by Judas, the Soul Sisters, and the Angels.

This emotional and pensive work will transport you to a fantasy world, where everything you know starts to fade away into the ether. F-A-D-E-D is of upper intermediate to advanced level difficulty, so pianists of approximately Grade 6 (AMEB, ABRSM, Trinity, etc.) and above ability would be best suited to learn this piece.

This is a piano tribute to Peter Mayhew (1944-2019)
On 2 May 2019, Peter Mayhew, famous for playing the role of Chewbacca in the Star Wars series, left us. This is a tribute to Peter, including musical themes associated with characters close to Chewbacca.
1: Han Solo and the Princess
Chewbacca is Han Solo’s companion aboard the Millenium Falcon. This music is heard in The Empire Strikes Back, in Cloud City, where Chewie accompanies Han and Leia to visit Lando, an old friend.
2: Yoda’s Theme
After Yoda assists the Wookies against the droid army, he’s seen saying goodbye to Chewbacca as he leaves for Dagobah.
3: Leia’s Theme
Chewbacca accompanies Han to rescue Leia in A New Hope and she ends up forming a friendship with this character.
4: The Force Theme
It is only appropriate to say goodbye with this important theme from Star Wars.
