The Mexican Hat Dance, (El Jarabe Tapatío) is Mexico’s national dance. The music that is used for the dance was composed by Jesús González Rubio and is most often performed by mariachi bands. The song has appeared in The Simpsons and even in Copland’s “Billy the Kid”.
