Solfeggietto is a piece by C. P. E. Bach, featuring a largely single-line (monophonic) theme and pathos. The piece is a popular pedagogical tool, encouraging the use of even semiquavers (16th notes) in the left and right hands, alternating. Although we play it fast here, it is still within a reasonable range of tempo for the piece. Many teachers lament at their students trying to show off by playing the piece as fast as possible, sacrificing the evenness of rhythm and tone that is required to make the piece work.

Andrew has played this at breakneck speeds before, once clocking in under 39 seconds! Watch his video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRnSLYEICZ0
