We’ve written some pretty difficult piano pieces in the past, but this one probably takes the cake… …because you need so many hands to play it. It may be possible to play this hard piano piece with a few people, but you’ll have to prove it to us!

F-A-D-E-D is a beautiful piano piece by Rafał Bienias, exploring the “F-A-D-E-D” motif (each letter refers to a pitch in the motif). This emotional and pensive work will transport you to a fantasy world, where everything you know starts to fade away into the ether. This would be an excellent piece to play in a recital, or to friends.
F-A-D-E-D is of upper intermediate to advanced level difficulty, so pianists of approximately Grade 6 (AMEB, ABRSM, Trinity, etc.) and above ability would be best suited to learn this piece.

This is an original piece based on the motif “D–E–A–F”. Beethoven was famously deaf, and could not hear while he was composing some of his most loved works. One of these works is his Symphony No. 9. This incredible piano piece, D-E-A-F, is based on a few of Beethoven’s most well-known and loved melodies and motifs. Within, you can find Für Elise and Symphony No. 5, rewritten in a creative and exciting way!

If I Were A Boy by Beyonce is a song about being taken for granted by a man after a difficult breakup of a relationship. The song provides a contrast from Beyoncé from her upbeat Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).
Fun fact! The song was originally recorded by BC Jean, one of the song’s writers, however Jean’s recording was rejected by her record company. Beyoncé also performed the song on The Oprah Winfrey Show ?? and at the 52nd Grammy Awards.
This arrangement by Andrew Wrangell is approximately grade 2 level. It’s a great song and sure to be a fantastic repertoire choice at a concert given how popular it is!

Lyrics:
If I were a boy
Even just for a day
I’d roll outta bed in the morning
And throw on what I wanted and go
Drink beer with the guys
And chase after girls
I’d kick it with who I wanted
And I’d never get confronted for it
Cause they’d stick up for me
If I were a boy
I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear I’d be a better man
I’d listen to her
Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted
Cause he’s taken you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed
If I were a boy
I would turn off my phone
Tell everyone it’s broken
So they’d think that I was sleepin’ alone
I’d put myself first
And make the rules as I go
Cause I’d know that she’d be faithful
Waitin’ for me to come home
To come home
If I were a boy
I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear I’d be a better man
I’d listen to her
Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted (wanted)
Cause he’s taken you for granted (granted)
And everything you had got destroyed
It’s a little too late for you to come back
Say it’s just a mistake
Think I’d forgive you like that
If you thought I would wait for you
You thought wrong
But you’re just a boy
You don’t understand
Yeah you don’t understand
How it feels to love a girl someday
You’ll wish you were a better man
You don’t listen to her
You don’t care how it hurts
Until you lose the one you wanted
Cause you’ve taken her for granted
And everything you have got destroyed
But you’re just a boy…
