This was written for the final moments of the day, where the brilliance reaching across the sky comes to a crescendo and then fades into the tones of twilight. Many of us are untethered from the rhythm of the world around us, and these pieces remind me that being alive is a joy and a privilege in ways we don’t always realise.

This is a deeply personal piece of music I wrote in May 2021 and never published, until now. It’s a very heartfelt emotional expression of how I was feeling at the time.

In 2008, I wrote “Reflections”, and this piece, titled “Reflections II”, is its follow-up. May you find something in here that resonates with you. – Andrew

This #solopiano work was intended as a #calm, sincere composition. When I listen to it (SMB Jo here, by the way!) it instantly makes me feel better, and I’ve returned to it months on end to find a moment of quiet on hard days. I hope it gives you the same feeling. I feel very lucky some days to do this job and to be able to share beautiful #music with the world.

F-A-D-E-D is a beautiful piano piece by RafaΕ‚ Bienias, exploring the “F-A-D-E-D” motif (each letter refers to a pitch in the motif). This emotional and pensive work will transport you to a fantasy world, where everything you know starts to fade away into the ether. This would be an excellent piece to play in a recital, or to friends.

F-A-D-E-D is of upper intermediate to advanced level difficulty, so pianists of approximately Grade 6 (AMEB, ABRSM, Trinity, etc.) and above ability would be best suited to learn this piece.
