METALLICA – ENTER SANDMAN – Piano Tutorial

Enter Sandman is the metal classic by Metallica from their 1991 self-titled album. It won multiple awards, including a Grammy, Juno award, MTV award and producer of the year award. The song is a smash it and has been covered by many well-known bands.

This piano tutorial video will show you how to play Enter Sandman by Metallica on the piano. Please enjoy!

Fun fact! Metallica has released 10 studio albums to date. The most recent being Hardwired… to Self-Destruct, featuring the singles Hardwired, Moth into Flame and Atlas, Rise!. It was released 8 years after their 9th album: Death Magnetic (2008). Enter Sandman is from their 5th studio album, Metallica (The Black Album, 1991).

This version is arranged for piano at a proficient level, approx. grade 7. The heavy sound of the song is retained by using the low registers of the piano to play the driving power chords while also using the range for light and shade.

Given the popularity of the song, it’s sure to be a winner at any concert!
