We have made this easy piano tutorial of Let It Go from Frozen just in time to learn as you go back to school! It is an easy version made especially for younger pianists who might have smaller hands. Let It Go is the song sung by Elsa in the movie Frozen when she realises that she no longer needs to hide her ice powers. Elsa then creates various ice structures and even a living snowman as she sings. Let It Go reached the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won several awards, including and Academy Award and Grammy Award. The Doctor Who theme music was written by Australian composer Ron Grainer in 1963 for the science fiction program Doctor Who. Since its composition, Grainer’s theme has been reworked and rearranged many times. The music was realised in its electronic form by Delia Derbyshire and Dick Mills, who were important in creating the innovative sound we know and love today. The theme has now been in use for over 50 years to date and is one of the most well-known TV themes ever written. This easy piano arrangements aims to make the theme accessible for most pianists, so that they can play along to their favourite sonic-screwdriver wielding Doctor! Enjoy!

Africa is a hit song by the band Toto. The song was written in 1982 and can be heard on Toto’s album “Toto IV.” Africa was also released as a single in the same year. Since its release, Africa has topped the US Billboard Hot 100 (the only Toto song to do so) and has been named as one of the top 50 Most Explosive Choruses in NME magazine. The song was written by Toto’s keyboardist and vocalist David Paich and drummer Jeff Porcaro. Paich appears in the iconic music video as a researcher in a library, trying to match a scrap of a picture of a shield to the book from which it was torn out. Interestingly, the music video to Africa features Mike Porcaro in place of David Hungate, who had left the band before the video was shot. Toto managed achieve a gold certification for the release of Africa, reaching cumulative sales of over half a million copies in the US alone.

Twin Peaks is a mystery drama series created by Mark Frost and David Lynch. It is often listed in the greatest television series of all time, and details the investigation into the murder of Laura Palmer. Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) is one of the central figures, and his experiences in the supernatural are reflected in the often esoteric and strange nature of the soundtrack. The iconic opening theme is the same for all seasons, from the critically acclaimed first, to the controversial third season (no spoilers please!). Angelo Badalamenti composed the soundtrack to the series, and his opening theme reflects the uneasy feeling throughout the incredible series.

Colours of the Wind is a song from the Disney animated feature film, Pocahontas (1995). It was written by Stephen Schwartz and Alan Menken. Judy Kuhn sung the version heard in the movie, while Vanessa Williams covered the song, which is heard in the soundtrack. Colours of the Wind won an Academy Award for Best Original Song, the 4th win by Menken. It also won a Golden Globe for Best Song Written for a Movie. We originally put out a tribute to Chester Bennington in the form of our hard arrangement of Numb. Since then, we have had many requests for an easy version, so this version follows similarly as a tribute. Numb is one of Linkin Park’s biggest hits and remains a very emotional and sad song for many of Chester’s fans. Mr. Blue Sky is a song by ELO (Electric Light Orchestra) originally released in 1977 and reused in several movies since its release: Megamind, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as well as several TV shows: Doctor Who, CSI, American Dad! to name a few. Take On Me is the 1985 hit by Norwegian A-ha, famous for its unforgettable music video featuring rotoscoped comic-style black and white animation. Having sold over 7 millions copies worldwide, Take On Me is one of best-selling singles of all time.

Fun Fact! Take On Me was recorded in 1984 for the album Hunting High and Low and multiple versions of the song were recorded. Take On Me was only successful in its second recording and the music video is extremely iconic, featuring hand-drawn rotoscoped comic-style animation. The video was played extensively on MTV.
