Learn how to play Arabesque No. 1 by Claude Debussy on piano with this Synthesia piano tutorial! Please enjoy!

Debussy’s Arabesque is the first of a set of two, L. 66 (Deux arabesques). Both Arabesques were recorded when Debussy was in his twenties, between the years 1888 and 1891. At this stage in his compositional development, Debussy had not completely matured into his final impressionistic style, but touches of his eventual stylistic contribution can be felt in these early pieces. The Arabesque no. 1 is played at the tempo marking of Andantino con moto and has beautiful cascading triplet motifs over a gentle duplet accompaniment. You will love this beautiful performace and tutorial of Debussy’s Arabesque no. 1: let it take you on a musical journey!

Arabesque No. 1 is fantastic to play! You can learn it with our Synthesia piano tutorial, or from the sheet music at the top of the description!
