Through the door it looks like a painting made of water, and jumping through it initiates this wonderful soundtrack that we have come to know and love. The Dire, Dire Docks music is a gentle and soft track with flowing melodies and beautiful modal mixture harmonies throughout. Rainbow Road is the final stage in the Special Cup in Mario Kart 64. In Rainbow Road, racers must navigate a path of twisting rainbow track, suspended in the air. Throughout the track players are confronted with obstacles such as Chain Chomps and stray green shells from inconsiderate drivers! It is the longest course in the entire game and is no doubt one of the most recognisable tracks in any of the Mario Kart games. A fun shortcut is possible at the beginning of the level, if a player jumps off the left-hand side of the track they can land on a further part of the course below. The awesome music for Rainbow Road by Kenta Nagata helped to make Rainbow Road an even more groovy experience, and now you can play this awesome tune at home on your piano with this piano arrangement!

FrĂ©dĂ©ric Chopin’s Étude op. 10, no. 1 is the first of his op. 10 etudes set, demonstrating his new way of approaching keyboard technique and expanding it beyond what was conventionally done prior. The technical difficulties of the etude op. 10 no. 1 were well known to virtuosi pianists such as Vladimir Horowitz, who stated that it was “the most difficult one of all” for him. Much of the difficulty of this study is the wide arpeggios, which are larger than an octave (frequently a 10th or 11th) and thus necessitate the use of a relaxed but firm hand position which is notoriously difficult to master. Prelude No. 9 from Debussy’s PrĂ©ludes is entitled La sĂ©rĂ©nade interrompue (Interrupted Serenade) and emulates a guitar player who is interrupted from their serenade. Within the prelude, Debussy incorporates several novel pianistic effects to mimic the guitar, such as repeated notes and undulating chords, doing so in similar style to other composers such as AlbĂ©niz. This beautiful prelude sounds amazing here, and you can see how it is played on screen! This prelude is to be played moderately lively, with a marking of ModĂ©rĂ©ment animĂ©. The Debussy PrĂ©ludes received renewed viewership in 2019 with the release of Untitled Goose Game, wherein players control a goose and cause havoc in a mischievous fashion.
