Free Fallin’ is the first track to Tom Petty’s debut solo album, Full Moon Fever. According to Petty, he wrote the song in a half hour and the full recording was made in two days. The track became one of Petty’s most famous, peaking at number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in 1990. In 2017 we learned of the sad news that Petty had suffered a cardiac arrest, aged 66. On his YouTube video release, Alan Walker asked fans to give him a video contribution with the song, of which he has given free use, so we decided to go a step further with this piano cover.
