A Thousand Miles was written by Vanessa Carlton and released as the lead single for her album Be Not Nobody in 2002. It continues to be one of Carlton’s most loved songs, and was her only song to reach the Billboard Hot 100 top ten. Since its release it has featured in the movie White Chicks (2004), and featured in the Season 3 finale of Workaholics.
